REACHING THE URBAN FAMILY THROUGH CHILDREN & YOUTH

TRAINING BELIEVERS IN CROSS-CULTURAL URBAN MINISTRY

Urban Hope Training Center Philadelphia was started in October 1998 by CE National as a ministry training center for short-term ministry teams and specifically as a hands-on training experience for students in The National Institute for the Development of Ministries to Youth. Urban Hope also began with the goal of establishing a local church in West Kensington through raising up the community’s youth to lead the new Community Church.

Andy Michael Director of Urban Hope Training Center Philadelphia

Andy grew up in Akron, Ohio, and after marrying his college sweetheart, Michelle, they began attending the Grace Church Bath campus together.  It was there that they both re-dedicated their lives to the Lord, got baptized, fell in love with studying the Bible and began following Jesus.

Several years later, after obtaining a degree in biblical studies, having three children, (Ezra, Zeke, and Zoey) and many serving areas, church staff positions, and an ever growing biblical community, God lead them to Urban Hope Philadelphia.

Andy and his family have a huge heart for connecting with others through serving, discipleship, and community, thus dedicating their lives to doing God’s work and spreading the love and hope of Jesus!
