Why do we pray?
God has commanded & invited us to pray. If we are to be obedient to His will, then prayer must be part of our life in Him. Prayer also allows us to worship and praise the Lord. It allows us to offer confession of our sins, which should lead to our genuine repentance. Moreover, prayer grants us the opportunity to ask our God to save the lost and equip and grow His body, the church. All of these aspects of prayer involve communication with our Creator. He is personal, cares for us, and wants to commune with us through prayer. Prayer is a way that we can both as individuals and as a community live on mission for Christ. Each time we pray, we go through lists of names we have posted on a white board in our prayer room because God cares about each person by name!
What is OTD?
“OTD” Stands for On Track Devotions. This is a tool to help you get in the bible daily. We believe that in order to live a surrendered and full life in Christ we need to know first who He is and also what He commands and desires from us. The only way we can know these things is through reading, knowing, and applying His word in our life. Reading the bible is essential for growing in our relationship with Christ.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” ~ 2 Timothy 3:16 ~
