More Than a Mission Trip
Urban Hope Training Centers offer more than just a “mission trip”.
We offer unique life-on-life training sessions on how to start conversations, how to tell your story, and share your faith in simple and life giving ways. We also provide practical, easy-to-use evangelism tools that make engaging with others simple. Our field experiences make our time together practical and profitable by immediately putting the lessons learned through the training sessions into practice!
“Urban Hope is one of my favorite places on the planet!” Aaron Key, Charis Fellowship Student Ministries Pastor.
Hands-On Ministry Field Experiences
There is a wide variety of “in the field” ministry you will experience with Urban Hope.
- Ministering to the homeless
- Participating in park and beach ministries
- Food distribution to families in need
- Children’s ministries
- Other peer to peer ministry opportunities
Weekend and Week-long Experiences
One week of ministry experience at Urban Hope will change your team for a life-time.
We offer weekend or week-long experiences and can even customize a trip and schedule to best meet your team’s needs.
We have facilities that are fully equipped with lodging accommodations, showers, kitchen, and training room. We can currently house up to 48 people at Urban Hope Training Center Los Angeles and up to 75 at Urban Hope Training Center Philadelphia.
Urban Hope’s heartbeat is to ignite a passion for your team to reach their peers back home. It is not just about a weekend or week-long missions experience. Urban Hope is a springboard to help your team know how to engage with others in their own communities and with those that God has placed in their path!
Break Down Evangelism Barriers
What keeps Christ-Followers from reaching those within their influence for Jesus?
Have you, or those in your ministry, ever felt awkward, or fearful about personal evangelism? Think back to that moment when you decided to follow Christ. Who helped you to arrive at that decision? Who was the first person(s) to share the hope of Jesus with you? Who walked you down that road of understanding the unconditional love of Jesus? Was it a family member, a neighbor, a co-worker, or even a stranger?
Reaching the Unchurched
When we consider the amount of spiritual investment we have received, it causes us to stop and evaluate how one might re-invest that same life-giving investment. We believe intentionally building relationships with the unchurched is the first step towards sharing Jesus with them. Unfortunately, the number of Christ-followers today stepping out into that first step is incredibly low, but why? What keeps us from reaching those around us for Jesus?
“Our relationship with Jesus should be personal, but not private.” Jeff Bogue, CE National President
